What is The Vonnegut Review?
The Vonnegut Review is a literary project founded for the purpose of reviewing the novels of Kurt Vonnegut. The project was conceived by two friends and writers with a passion for literature, criticism, and Kurt Vonnegut. Our mission is to open and sustain a critical conversation surrounding Vonnegut through reading and reviewing all fourteen of his novels during the Summer of 2013.
The Vonnegut Review will publish one original review each Friday throughout the summer, publishing one essay for each of Vonnegut's novels, in chronological order of publication. See the full schedule below.
We hope that readers will read along with The Vonnegut Review, and we conceive of this project as a collective literary journey. We encourage you to follow and tweet @VonnegutReview using the hashtag #VonnegutSummer.

Why Vonnegut? Why now?
Our purpose in launching The Vonnegut Review is to reinvigorate critical readings of Vonnegut for the twenty-first century. Vonnegut is a writer for his time, but he is a writer for our time as well. We find it necessary to read him as if he too were "unstuck in time." As a writer concerned with technology, war, and the human condition, Vonnegut is indispensable today. Moreover, we contend that Vonnegut is worth more serious critical attention, and that his novels are essential components of our cultural and literary canon.
